It is understood that this Guarantee shall not exceed

the total cost of and incidental to the erection of such Waterworks

in the Colony of Macau in accordance with the Comesssionary

Contract entered into between the Sociedade de Abastecimento de

Aguas de Macau Limitada (a company incorporated under the laws

of Macau, and the whole of the Capital of which is owned by the

Macau Waterworks Co., Ltd.) and the Leal Senada da Camara de

Macau and dated the 15th day of July 1935, and advertised in the

Boletim Oficial of Macau of the 27th July 1935.

This Guarantee shall remain in force until all sums

advanced by way of Capital and loans to the Macau Waterworks Co.,

Ltd. for the erection of such Waterworks as aforesaid shall have

been repaid by that Company or in the alternative until a public

Company shall purchase the assets and business of the Macau

Waterworks Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary, the Sociedade de

Abastecimento de Aguas de Macau Limitada.

This Guarantee is given on the condition that so

long as the same is operative interest on loans shall not exceed

8% per annum and dividends declared must not exceed 10% on the

issued Capital for the time being of the Macau Waterworks Co., Ltd.
